I
Need a Banjo
By Majid Kathiri
One
day I walked along
the path of songless song.
Saw
me a river so bright
had the shine of shivering night.
Cause
April's a woman I know.
Walked picket lines covered in snow.
Summer's
pain's no wheat,
sunk fast in the mud at her feet.
Still
raining as Winter descends,
no love she only pretends.
So
I got me a shovel real wide
and dug the other side.
The
path of songless song.
The path of songless song.
She said in her sleep it won't be too long,
Now it won't, it won't, it won't be too long.
The
path of songless song.
The path of songless song.
No seasons, no seasons, no seasons...
Oh
God, can't... I... be... wrong?
