Traditional by Jen Tynes

Counting my threads / linens in bubble
bubble toil / potato eyed then used
in place of signature / a green moss
grows the intimacy of outdoors
angeling, mallowing / empty the rodent
bucket at midnight and give newborns
their sawed-off ducks’

feet / practice dandling / slash
and burn previous snow
incarnations of self / constrict the finger

blood with a ribbon / foolscap also
goes / removing the “vein”
from communal shrimp leads
to moral bankruptcy / keep flaccid
balloons in the north

west corner / lucky static / if there is fur
on the new American car just cut away

the milky parts for appearances.
