Haberdasheries full

of luminous height add inches 
to the general stature.
All eyes drawn to
the brim, the world's sad love
affair with visual hold --
always a curtain
rising, a backdrop flicker
to impress, to round up.  A head might
soon be wearing
a tea Capuchon, cliffhanger Newsboy
or the felt-ribbed whorl of a Slouch. 
And somewhere near stalk
Bowlers, gratuitous in any frame.
